Sandwich Assistive Eating Devices (SUBCUP)
What?
Design and fabricate a device that allows you to eat a sub with one hand
Fulfill the requirements of being usable by non dominant hand, acts as storage device, and keeps the sandwich together
How?
Used solid features in Fusion360 to design
Made a engineering prototype out of cardboard as a proof of concept
3D printed it out of PLA using a PURUSA i3 MK3S+
Results
The design fulfilled its purpose being able to lift various cylindrical shape food with low to no effort (depending on weight of load)
Using DFA principles reduce product assembly cost
